FABRIC
Medium Weight: It is optimal to use a medium weight woven, non-stretch fabric: woven cottons, oxford, chambray, poplin, shirting, woven linen, viscose, rayon challis. Loose weave or slightly slippery or drapey fabric will cause a challenge when preparing and sewing the bias binding of Style A, especially if you are a beginner sewer. If you want to avoid this, you may forgo light-weight linen, viscose and rayon challis.

Heavy Weight: You may desire a more robust feel and choose a heavy weight fabric: corduroy, denim, canvas, wool suiting. If your fabric is very thick, cut the facings, side pockets, and one each of the flower pockets in a lighter weight fabric.

Fabric REQUIREMENTS: See listing image 12 for a breakdown of fabric requirements. First choose the chart based on your fabric width, then select the length you want, then choose imperial or metric and look under your size category, if you are making Style A choose the first number, if Style B (with the ties) choose the number in brackets.

Style A: Fabric, fusible interfacing, 1/2 in (13 mm) wide twill tape, 1/4 in (6 mm) twill tape, 1/4 in (6 mm) wide elastic (optional), 8” invisible zipper (only necessary for size XL+).

Style B: Fabric , 1/4 in (6 mm) twill tape, 1/4 in (6 mm) wide elastic (optional).
